About Lorraine Rogers
Best known as a watercolourist, Lorraine Rogers showed creative flair from an early age and began oil painting with the Sherbrooke Art Society in the Melbourne hinterland. After a career in nursing, Lorraine moved to Queensland with her family over 20 years ago.
Respected artists John Lovett and Robert Hammond further nurtured her interest in art, teaching her everything from detailed pencil drawing to design, colour and tone. Lorraine has won many prizes in all mediums which include two First Prizes in her very first art show.
Lorraine is a respected artist whose work is represented in collections locally and overseas. Lorraine is a member of the Association of Fine Artists and the Royal Queensland Art Society. This artist is inspired by her love of nature and the Queensland landscape, painting many local scenes. Lorraine paints primarily in watercolour, but loves to experiment with all mediums. A passion for versatility and colour keeps her collectors eagerly awaiting the next chapter of her work.
