The Manly Gallery - Bronwyn Searle
About Bronwyn Searle
Trained at the Brisbane College of Art in Graphic Design, Bronwyn has worked professionally in the art field for more than 25 years, starting as a graphic artist and moving onto exhibition design and illustration. She spent 18 years working at the Queensland Museum designing displays and illustrating museum publications.
Bronwyn has collaborated with her writer husband Rick on two children's picture books 'Slam Dunk Tim' and 'Follow Me' which were published by Random House Scholastic respectively. 'Follow Me' was shortlisted for an environment award in 2002.
After leaving the Museum in 2002, she freelanced for three years as an illustrator, with regular commissions from John Wiley Publishers.
Bronwyn is now working full time as a painter, fulfilling a lifelong dream. The style of painting that she has developed has been very much influenced by many years of exploring illustrative techniques and a newly discovered passion for oil painting.
Bronwyn exhibited at the 2006 Stanthorpe Arts Festival and regularly exhibits at the Combined Rotary Art Spectacular.
